On 11th April, the NLA released a press statement reminding agents and writers that 31st May 2026 is the final deadline to achieve legal status. The NLA has emphasized that registration is mandatory for those operating under NLA-licensed Private Lotto Operators. Any unregistered agent or writer after this date will be prohibited from selling lotto or lottery products in Ghana.

To ensure compliance with this deadline, a dedicated NLA Compliance Team will be deployed nationwide to enforce these regulations. The Authority has urged stakeholders not to wait until the last minute, as the consequences for non-compliance after May 31 will be immediate.
