The CEO of Africa’s top payments technology business, Flutterwave, Olugbenga ‘GB’ Agboola, has made a significant accomplishment by being chosen to join the esteemed Wall Street Journal (WSJ) CEO Council. This distinction establishes GB as a fintech thought leader on a worldwide scale and supports the continent of Africa’s emerging fintech revolution.

The WSJ CEO Council, which consists of 350 CEOs from various businesses, has a significant global footprint. Its members collectively employ more than 11 million people and bring in around $4.48 trillion annually. It acts as a powerful forum for growth discussions and idea sharing between executives of the most well-known corporations in the globe.

GB has played a key role in advancing the creation of Fintech solutions for numerous businesses and financial institutions, including PayPal, Standard Bank, and Google, among others. GB brings a variety of knowledge and experience to his job at Flutterwave thanks to his academic background that spans in different universities including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Wharton School of Management, and the University of Westminster. He was selected the Young Business Leader of the Year by the African Leadership Magazine in 2020.
