World Gaming Week set to generate 1.5 million business meetings and showcase 25,000 product launches as ICE and iGB Affiliate Barcelona continue to break records and set new standards

Gambling industry executives will be in Barcelona in record numbers for what is on course to be the biggest ever gathering of the international industry. Visitors from a projected 180+ nations will be participating in World Gaming Week with the world-class international city, which is uniquely positioned at the intersection of commerce, culture, and creativity hosting the industry’s pre-eminent innovators, operators, policy makers and thought leaders.

Looking ahead to welcoming the gambling universe to Barcelona, Stuart Hunter, Managing Director of Clarion Gaming, said the scale and international reach of the events underline their unique position in the global calendar

“Whilst ICE and iGB Affiliate themselves take place over three days, we officially celebrate World Gaming Week from 18–23 January, with a host of special events taking place across the city of Barcelona,” said Hunter. “Bringing together a projected 65,000-plus delegates from more than 180 countries, there is absolutely no doubt that this is the most important week in the gaming calendar.”

He added: “World Gaming Week is packed with opportunities to foster the connections and collaborations that power gaming across the regulated industry. Using the number of meetings already organised through the ICE app as a sample, we are projecting that the week will generate around 1.5 million pre-arranged and impromptu business engagements. These conversations, involving suppliers, operators, regulators, politicians and policy makers, will help define the future of gaming across continents during 2026 and beyond, confirming once again that ICE and iGB Affiliate Barcelona is where the world of gaming goes to do business.”

ICE and iGB Affiliate Barcelona will together feature an unrivalled line-up of 750+ exhibitors, reinforcing their reputation as the most important opportunities of the year for operators to experience the latest product launches and innovations across every gaming vertical and regulated jurisdiction.

“We maintain an ongoing dialogue with our exhibitor community and we understand how they plan their R&D cycles around ICE and iGB Affiliate Barcelona,” Hunter explained. “On that basis, we are projecting that around 25,000 products and services will be unveiled at the shows, many of them featuring the latest deployments of the new technologies that are transforming how the industry engages with players and conducts business.”

Hunter also highlighted the role of the Enterprise Stage, the rebranded show-floor content hub, as a focal point for the industry’s most important technology-led conversations. “On 20 January, the Enterprise Stage will host the final of the Innovator Challenge, delivered in partnership with Microsoft,” he said. “This marks the first time that a global technology leader has partnered directly with the gaming industry in this way, representing a significant milestone for the sector.
