Iain Hutchison on Digitain’s Strategic Rebrand and Vision for Africa’s Gaming Future

Iain Hutchison, Chief Revenue Officer at Digitain, recently spoke to iGaming AFRIKA during the recent SiGMA Africa 2025 conference, highlighting Digitain’s recent rebranding, its approach to the African market, and the provisions it offers through its platform and products.

Digitain’s rebranding was a deliberate move to signal the company’s evolution and ambition. “The rebranding is a way to reflect the pioneering spirit that we have, the innovation that we do on a day-to-day basis,” Iain Hutchison explained. We’ve repositioned ourselves in the last two years, to compete against some of the other B2B suppliers. We pushed our brand much further upmarket than it has been up till now. And I think the rebranding reflects that,” he added, emphasizing the company’s commitment to quality, innovation, and market relevance.

Discussing the African gaming landscape, Hutchison expressed strong optimism. “I think it’s a really dynamic market. I think it’s got huge potential,” he said. Iain Hutchison pointed out that both sports and casino gaming are thriving sectors in Africa, and Digitain is preparing to meet that demand with targeted products and services. According to him, casino gaming in particular is a significant growth area that Digitain is actively pursuing with tailored offerings.

At the conference, Digitain showcased its Galaxsys brand, a subsidiary focused on fast, instant and crash games. One standout product is El Dorado, a low-bandwidth slot game designed to perform well in markets with limited internet infrastructure.

In addition to game content, Digitain also offers a full turnkey platform that includes a robust Sportsbook and modular solutions for risk management. “We also provide a full turnkey solution, which includes Sportsbook. And we provide a sort of modular solution around, risk management too.,” Iain Hutchison noted. These provisions allow operators to customize their platforms based on local market needs, regulatory requirements, and player preferences.
