Promoting Safer Betting: The Limpopo Gambling Board and National Gambling Board of South Africa Take Awareness Campaign to Bochum.

The Limpopo Gambling Board (LGB), in partnership with the National Gambling Board (NGB) of South Africa, continued its responsible gambling awareness campaign with an outreach session at Bettabets Bochum on Tuesday, June 23.

These partnership had a core purpose of educating punters and members of the public about safer gambling practices.

The awareness drive focused on responsible gambling, problem gambling support services, illegal gambling activities. The programmes also focused on the importance of using licensed gambling operators. Representatives from both regulators engaged directly with customers and community members. They also distributed educational materials and provided information on the risks associated with excessive gambling.

LGB and NGB asks People to Voice up Gambling Related Harm and Addictions!

Participants were informed about the signs of problem gambling and the support services available through South Africa’s Responsible Gambling Programme. Officials encouraged people experiencing gambling-related harm or those concerned about family members to seek assistance through the helpline. They also urged the public to report suspected illegal gambling operations to law enforcement agencies and regulatory authorities.

LGB and NGB officials used the event to encourage public participation in combating unlawful gambling by reporting suspected illegal operations to law enforcement agencies and regulatory authorities.

The outreach forms part of the Limpopo Gambling Board’s ongoing community engagement programme designed to promote responsible gambling behaviour, strengthen public awareness of gambling regulations and support efforts to reduce gambling-related harm across the province.
