The Responsible Gambling Summit 2025 to take Place in Johannesburg, South Africa

The South African Responsible Gambling Foundation (SARGF) has announced that it will hold the Responsible Gambling Summit 2025 and the Responsible Gambling Awards Gala Dinner in Johannesburg on November 13 and 14, 2025, at the prestigious Emperors Palace Hotel and Casino.

The summit which aims to promote discussions around gambling responsibilities and address issues related to problem gambling will also see the following boards involved:

During the announcement, the South Africa Responsible Gambling Foundation further called on interested parties to register and be part of the event: “Are you a thought leader, researcher, or industry expert passionate about Responsible Gambling practices? Your insights can spark conversations and drive change!”

In an announcement about the event, the Western Cape Responsible Board stated, “Join us as we deliberate on gambling, responsible gambling, and problem gambling issues.” This gathering will serve as a platform for industry stakeholders to come together and discuss strategies for promoting safer gambling practices.

The provincial gambling boards involved in the event have a statutory mandate to regulate all gambling and racing activities within their provinces. They are responsible for imposing necessary restrictions to mitigate the risks associated with gambling. They further focus on safeguarding society from excessive gambling while ensuring that players receive fair treatment.
