betPawa Initiates Local Football Sponsorship in Kenya by Donating Over KSH6.7MIL to Local Clubs

Borah Ndanyungu, the Head of Local Marketing and CSR at betPawa, announced the release of KSh 6.7 million to Kenyan football clubs as part of the company’s sponsorship commitment.
This initiative will directly benefit 575 players across 25 teams. The programme will see players receive necessities essential for training, competing, and growing. Each player will receive a full kit (jerseys, shorts, and socks). The company is also handing out 100 match balls, 575 training bibs, and 75 pairs of goalkeeper gloves.
Borah commenting on the intensity of talent and the reason behind the current move said, “Talent is everywhere in Kenyan community fields and local leagues. What is often missing is not passion, but access to the right equipment and training conditions. By equipping both men’s and women’s teams, we are creating a more level playing field. Giving players the confidence to perform at their best.
We are also very intentional about inclusion, with a significant number of the benefiting teams being women’s teams.”
The initiative is expected to ease the burden on teams that often struggle with access to basic equipment. A challenge that continues to affect performance and player development across many parts of the country.
Beneficiary teams are; Maungu All Stars FC, Majengo FC, Mwendo akiFC, Kisii Wazee FC. Kapkorech Starlet, St Josephus Nakuru, Maringo United, Masimba Queens.
