The National Lottery of Guinea (LONAGUI) has placed cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI) and data protection at the heart of its lottery.

The board is building towards modernization strategy, signaling a sharper technology and governance focus in the country’s Lottery system.

While at the African Lotteries Association (ALA) seminar and general assembly in Dakar the operator outlined a range of strategic priorities tied to the evolution of its lottery infrastructure. The strategy’s included; artificial intelligence integration, cybersecurity strengthening, data protection, operational traceability, transparency measures and broader system modernization.

The statement positions cybersecurity and AI as central pillars of LONAGUI’s long-term transformation plans. This is a current trend with African Lotteries as operators are increasing emphasis on secure digital systems and compliance-driven technology infrastructure.

LONAGUI believes the discussions in Dakar reflected a continental dynamic of innovation and digital transformation in African lotteries. It allowed stakeholders examine how technology can support operational efficiency, governance standards and sector sustainability.

The operator also described its participation in the Dakar gathering as part of its commitment to aligning with evolving international standards and strengthening operational modernisation efforts within Guinea’s lottery sector.
