iGaming AFRIKA and Africa Blockchain Festival Partner to Connect Africa’s Gaming and Blockchain Communities

Nairobi, Kenya, 9 October 2026 — iGaming AFRIKA is excited to share its partnership with Africa Blockchain Festival (ABF) 2026 as a media, community and ecosystem partner. The festival is set to take place from 15–17 October at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.

The partnership reflects ABF’s ambition to reach beyond its immediate blockchain community and engage with industries where the technology has practical applications. Gaming is one such sector, with an established presence within the blockchain community and shared interests in payments, digital assets and digital infrastructure.

Under the theme “Capital, Code, and Continuity: Building Africa’s Permanent Digital Economy,” ABF 2026 will bring together founders, investors, developers, regulators and business leaders. The programme covers digital assets, cross-border payments, digital identity, artificial intelligence and blockchain applications.

For iGaming AFRIKA, the collaboration connects the betting and gaming businesses it serves with developers, investors and enterprises across the wider digital economy. It also gives Africa’s gaming community a place in discussions about how blockchain technology can serve businesses across the continent.

“It’s interesting at this point in time to be partnering with such a revolutionary platform as iGaming AFRIKA. Africa Blockchain Festival has always been open to collaborations and seeing ways that we can extend our partnership out of our immediate ecosystem, and I believe one of the adjacent ecosystems is the gaming ecosystem,” said Olubunmi Fabanwo, Founder and Convener of the Festival.

Jeremiah Maangi, Founder and CEO of iGaming AFRIKA, said: “Gaming deserves a place in Africa’s blockchain conversation. Operators bring experience with payments, regulation and customer trust, while blockchain developers bring ideas that could address some of the challenges those businesses face. ABF allows us to put those perspectives in the same room and identify where collaboration would suffice.”

Now in its second edition, the festival follows its inaugural event in Kigali, Rwanda, in 2025, which, according to organisers, attracted more than 2,000 attendees from over 20 countries. Fabanwo also expressed his vision for the relationship beyond the Nairobi event, saying, “We are very happy about this development. We look forward to so many things that we are able to do together, not just for 2026 but beyond.”
