Moss Gondwe Joins the African Lotteries & Gaming Association (ALGA) Board of Directors

The African Lotteries & Gaming Association (ALGA) has officially announced the appointment of Mr. Moss Gondwe to its Board of Directors.
This strategic move is intended to support ALGA’s vision of advancing innovation, responsible gaming, and sustainable growth within the lottery and gaming industry across the continent.
Mr. Moss brings over four decades of leadership experience in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector to the board. His career is marked by senior executive roles at some of the world’s most prominent technology firms. In 2003, Gondwe served as the public sector sales director at Microsoft South Africa, where he was responsible for implementing local strategies for government and education initiatives, with a focus on leveraging technology to promote sustainable growth and bridge the digital divide in South Africa.
In late 2021, he took on the role of Public Sector Director at Mimecast, aiming to expand the company’s presence within public sector organizations and mentor emerging local leaders. His extensive leadership experience also includes significant roles at IBM, further establishing his reputation as a highly accomplished ICT executive.

Beyond his corporate achievements, Gondwe is a recognized advocate for cybersecurity awareness and proactive government policy.
Gondwe’s appointment to ALGA is a continuation of his commitment to high-level governance. As of December 2021, he also served as an independent, non-executive director on the board of GolfRSA, the unified body of the South African Golf Association and Women’s Golf South Africa.
