Spribe Secures Aviator Intellectual Property Rights in Kenya

SPRIBE OÜ has obtained additional protection for its intellectual property rights in Kenya, with the Aviator logo now officially registered under the WIPO Madrid System. 

The crash game phenomenon Aviator continues to dominate the global iGaming landscape. In a bid to safeguard its intellectual property, Spribe OÜ recently announced a key trademark victory in Kenya. 

Spribe OÜ has successfully secured additional intellectual property protection in Kenya for its flagship crash game, Aviator. The iconic logo of this world-famous title has been officially registered under the WIPO Madrid System, with the protection in Kenya applying retroactively from October 11, 2024. 

This registration significantly reinforces Spribe’s existing intellectual property rights, solidifying its brand presence in the Kenyan market. The Madrid System, administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), allows trademark holders to obtain protection across multiple member countries through a single international application, rather than filing individual claims in each jurisdiction.

For Spribe, this trademark extension comes five years after its crash game first entered the Kenyan market in 2021. Since its launch, Aviator has grown to become one of Kenya’s most popular online casino games. The retroactive WIPO protection is viewed as a strategic move to strengthen the game’s official brand presence and defend against rising imitations in the market. 

However, this registration is currently caught in a legal conflict with Aviator Studio Holdings Limited (licensed by Aviator LLC), which claims exclusive local rights to the word trademark “AVIATOR” under Kenyan law.
