NWGB Women Celebrate Women’s Day with Responsible Gambling Awareness

At the Provincial Women’s Day Celebration held at Dinokana Stadium, the North West Gambling Board (NWGB) joined community members to honor the strength, resilience, and achievements of women across the province.

Recognizing that women play a central role in strengthening families and communities, the Board focused its efforts on ensuring that women are informed, empowered, and protected regarding gambling activities.

Under the powerful South African slogan of “Wathint’ Abafazi, Wathint’ Imbokodo,” the NWGB shared: “We see you, we value you, and we celebrate you.”

During the event, the NWGB engaged directly with the community through its exhibition stand. A key part of this outreach was educating attendees on Responsible Gambling. The Board reminded community members that gambling is strictly a game of chance meant for entertainment, emphasizing that it should never be viewed as a source of income or a solution to financial challenges.

To support healthier and stronger communities, the NWGB encouraged the public to make informed choices and gamble within their means, set strict gambling limits, and know when to stop. By empowering women with knowledge and encouraging responsible choices, this initiative aims to build a stronger, healthier foundation for families and communities alike.
