Bashir Are, the CEO of the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA), emphasizes the increasing prominence of gaming in Africa and its progress towards meeting global standards.
In an exclusive interview with iGaming AFRIKA, Bashir acknowledged the growing collaboration among regulators across the continent, with the goal of establishing a unified approach to gaming regulation in Africa.
“We are trying to get a standard on a universal basis so that when you go to Ghana, Kenya or South Africa, you can find a very minute difference in terms of systems, operations, and application for licenses.” he said.

Furthermore, Mr. Bashir openly shared plans to host another grand AGE Event in 2025.
