Imo State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (IMLGA) to Convene South-East, South-South Stakeholders for Responsible Gaming Capacity Building Programme in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.
Gamble Alert, in collaboration with the Imo State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (IMLGA), is set to host the South-East & South-South Responsible Gaming Capacity Building Programme (SESSRG), a practical regional initiative designed to strengthen responsible gaming capacity across Nigeria’s gaming ecosystem.
The two-day programme is scheduled to hold on 14th and 15th October 2026 at Imo Digital City Limited, Imo State, bringing together key stakeholders including regulators, gaming operators, gaming agents, affiliates and customer-facing industry professionals from across the South-East and South-South regions.
The programme is designed to provide a practical platform for stakeholders to deepen their understanding of responsible gaming and strengthen their capacity to promote safer gambling practices within their respective areas of influence.
As the gaming industry continues to evolve, the need for stakeholders at different levels of the industry to understand their roles in player protection and responsible gaming has become increasingly important. SESSRG seeks to address this need by creating a space for learning, collaboration, knowledge sharing and practical engagement among those who interact directly with players and shape the gaming environment.
The programme will provide participants with opportunities to engage with issues surrounding responsible gaming, player protection, regulatory responsibilities and industry practices, while encouraging stronger collaboration between regulators, operators and other customer-facing stakeholders.
Beyond the two-day programme, the initiative aims to contribute to a stronger culture of responsible gaming across the South-East and South-South regions by equipping stakeholders with knowledge and practical approaches that can be applied within their organizations and communities.
The organizers believe that effective player protection requires a shared responsibility across the gaming ecosystem. By bringing together stakeholders who play different but interconnected roles, SESSRG seeks to strengthen the collective capacity to identify risks, promote responsible practices and contribute to a safer gaming environment.
