Betpawa Kenya making an impact on local clubs in 6-aside tournaments

Betpawa Kenya is making a big impact and boosts on local clubs in the country in their 6-aside Tournaments. Teams partaking in recent six-a-side competitions at betPawa were awarded Ksh1 million in prizes and Ksh1.3 million in uniforms and equipment.

The sports betting company returned in April 2023 larger and better after launching a similar campaign in 2022. 186 teams from all over Kenya took part in the competitions in Nairobi, Kisumu, and Nakuru.

The winners in each region received Ksh200,000. Teams that finished in second or third place won Ksh100,000 and Ksh50,000, respectively. Additional 105 teams received complete kits, athletic clothing, and training supplies.

The winners in Nairobi were Akiba FC, Kuta FC, and Pirates FC. Amani FC, Kosovo FC, and Mowlem Stars were the other notable winners in Kisumu. Amani FC took home the top prize. The top three teams in Nakuru were the Nakuru Griffons, Fagarians People FC, and Everstars.

We’re pleased to have again promoted sport in Kenya through grassroots football. These tournaments nurture talent, help young people learn to work together, give them exposure to scouts from high-level leagues, and of course the chance to win exciting prizes.

betPawa Kenya Marketing Coordinator Simon Mwangi said.

Congratulations to our champions Akiba FC, Amani FC, and Fagarians People FC, and every team that won cash prizes, football kits or sports equipment. Seeing their joy and gratitude, and the confidence that these rewards will contribute heavily to their teams’ growth, was so fulfilling. betPawa is fully committed to supporting the development of sport in Kenya. We can’t wait to see how these 186 great teams progress from here.

He continued:

It’s not the first time that betPawa has offered the opportunity to neighborhood teams. Along with the six-a-side competitions in 2022, the company’s 2021 Dream Maker campaign, which urged individuals from all around the nation to submit their ideas to be realized, put sport at the forefront.

On that occasion, four teams received equipment and financial support, and one of the visions resulted in the reconstruction of a community’s sports facilities.
