LSLGA Celebrates Excellence at the 2025 Gaming Operators Gala & Awards Night

The Lagos State gaming industry took center stage as the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) hosted its highly anticipated 2025 Gaming Operators Gala & Awards Night. The event honored the visionaries, innovators, and organizations driving Lagos State’s regulated gaming ecosystem, celebrating achievements across operational excellence, innovation, customer experience, and community impact.
Promotional Competition Organizations kicked off the evening, highlighting corporate partners whose contributions strengthen the state’s gaming landscape. MTN Communications PLC earned the Telco Company of the Year award for outstanding collaboration and innovation in value-added services. Wema Bank PLC was named Banking Platform of the Year, recognized for seamless payment integration and transparency, while Seven Up Bottling Company received the FMCG Company of the Year award for elevating consumer engagement through creative initiatives aligned with regulatory standards.
The second category was the Customer experience, Community impact, and Responsible gaming, celebrating operators who place players and communities at the heart of their business. Betway was awarded the Customer Centric Award for delivering exceptional player experiences, triumphing over nominees Betano, SportyBet, and Bet9ja. BetPawa took the Safer Gaming Leader Award, recognized for proactive, data-driven strategies to ensure player safety, beating BetGR8, Bet9ja, and 1xBet.
BetKing was honored with the Community Impact Award, applauded for initiatives that empower and support local communities, surpassing Bet9ja, Betano, and Baba Ijebu. In the same category of social responsibility, Gamble Alert claimed the Responsible Gaming Advocacy Award for promoting safe gambling practices and partnering with LSLGA to raise public awareness, edging out Gamble Pause, Gamble Aware NG, and Gamsafe. The Best Sponsorship Programme Award went to 1xBet, recognized for sustainable initiatives that foster youth engagement and grassroots sports development, over nominees Baba Ijebu, MSport, and Betano.

Innovation and operational excellence were equally celebrated. Winners Golden Chance Lotto earned the Operational Excellence Award for efficiency, consistency, and alignment with regulatory objectives, while SportyBet took Gaming Innovator of the Year for pioneering technology-driven solutions that enhance user experience. Doxxbet was named Compliance Power-House, demonstrating exemplary adherence to regulations, and Football.com claimed the Rising Star Award for rapid growth and impressive customer satisfaction.
Operators across specific gaming sectors also received recognition for leadership and integrity. Hotfun – 9Jackpot was awarded Gaming Machine Operator of the Year, Jacaranda Casino won Casino Operator of the Year, Bet9ja earned Sports Betting Operator of the Year, and Baba Ijebu claimed Lottery Operator of the Year, each celebrated for compliance, innovation, and player focus.
The gala concluded with the Governor’s Special Recognition Awards, personally endorsed by His Excellency Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, honoring organizations whose exceptional contributions continue to shape Lagos State’s gaming sector. Winners included Doxxbet, Federal Palace Hotels and Casino, BetKing and Baba Ijebu.
