NLGRB Promotes Responsible Gaming in Western Uganda Communities
In another enforcement initiative, the National Lottery and Gaming Regulatory Board is currently conducting an outreach programme in Western Uganda to address the social impacts of gambling.
Its Responsible Gaming team has been on the ground in Western Uganda, actively engaging local community members in Mbarara. This outreach focuses on discussing the realities of gaming, highlighting its adverse effects, and raising awareness about the support systems provided by the Board.
By visiting local markets, the team facilitates direct dialogue with residents to understand their unique concerns regarding the industry. The initiative also aims to educate the public about potential risks and identify resources to assist those struggling with addiction.

The primary goal is to safeguard vulnerable populations through shared community insights and proactive engagement. Ultimately, the organisation seeks to foster a culture of responsible gaming by collaborating closely with the citizens they serve.
Achieving lasting change requires a collective, united effort. By working together, the community and the Board can successfully shift public perceptions and promote a safer, more responsible gaming environment.
